Trey Jones: President
Lone Star Land Design was founded on the principle of providing excellence in customer service that matches the excellence of our design/build installations. Trey Jones, the president of Lone Star Land Design began his landscape career at Texas A&M University, where he graduated with a degree in Landscape Architecture with emphasis in horticulture and landscape construction.
Trey believes that in order to be the best, you have to strive for excellence everyday. All employees of Lone Star Land Design are held to this high standard to ensure that our customers are getting the best product and services possible. Lone Star Land Design is a member of many organizations in the green industry, including the American Society of Landscape Architects. Trey and his wife Brittany live in Central Austin.
John Doggett: Operations and Development Manager
John Doggett, a graduate of Texas A&M University, is the Operations and Development Manager for Lone Star Land Design. John, his wife Bonnie and their son Brant, currently reside in Pflugerville. John has been in the green industry for nearly 10 years and he brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to our team. John is currently the Landscape Director for the Central Texas Division of the Texas Nursery and Landscape Association. He has extensive experience in the management of high end residential Design/Build installations as well as commercial projects. Along with his construction experience, he has a tremendous amount of plant knowledge and he would be happy to answer any questions you may have.
Joel Wood: Lead Project Designer
Joel graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Landscape Architecture. He has experience consulting on and designing both large and small scale projects. By examining the needs of the client, Joel looks at his projects as spaces that should enhance the quality of life for the client. His work in and outside of Texas allow him to bring a unique perspective to the different projects that he encounters. He has gained an understanding for the local vegetation and landscape which enables him to create designs that work with the local setting. With Joel’s background in landscape architecture he is also able to bring a vast amount of knowledge about hardscape and pool design and is very well educated on different building materials that are available to the Central Texas area.
Shelby Oliphant: Landscape and Hardscape Designer
Shelby graduated from The University of Texas with a degree in fine arts, and found that she could combine her love for making art with her life long love for plants. Her background gives her a great eye for color, texture and detail. She has continued her education in horticulture and design, attending The Landscape School headed by Dr. William Welch in College Station, TX and most recently earning her Permaculture Design certification. She's passionate about extending the home into the outdoors, creating relaxing and inspiring outdoor living spaces.
Ebbn Milks: Watershape Designer and Pool Construction Manager
Ebbn Milks is an award-winning designer and has become recognized as one of the areas premier watershape designers. Many of his projects have been featured in pool and spa publications throughout the country. He has a wealth of information in sound construction techniques; mastering lighting, drainage, substructure and elevated support systems, hydraulics, mechanical engineering, masonry and hardscape design. Ebbn focuses on quality of construction and creative and unique designs for his clientele. Ebbn has overseen and completed many pools in his career and he would love the opportunity to discuss design ideas for your future pool or water feature.
